A silk saree with real zari is a textile first and a garment second. Dyes bleed, metal thread tarnishes, and old silk can shatter along a fold that has been pressed a hundred times.
The risk is in the process. So we changed the process.
The damage to a saree is usually done by good intentions: a hot iron on zari, water on an unstable dye, years folded on the same line. Our process starts by finding out what the fabric can take.

Every step is logged against the garment’s tag. You can follow it on your tracking link, and so can we — which is what makes the guarantee real.

Dye stability and zari tested on the pallu edge before any process is chosen.

Cleaned gently — solvent or a controlled hand process — never agitated.

Stains treated with the fibre in mind; old marks approached conservatively.

Finished at low heat with the zari protected; drape restored by steam.

Folded along fresh lines with acid-free tissue, ready for storage.

Silk saree dry clean from ₹599. Heavy zari, vintage and restoration work quoted on inspection.
Standard turnaround 3–5 days. Express available on most pieces. All prices include GST; pay at delivery by UPI or cash.

Condition photographed before we begin. Declared value recorded. If something goes wrong in our care, the remedy is professional repair or compensation up to that value — backed by insurance and a reserve.

Care at home
- Re-fold sarees every few months so a crease never becomes a break.
- Store in cotton or muslin, with the zari folded inwards.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and moth balls; both damage silk.
Questions
- Can you clean an old Banarasi with tarnished zari?
- We can clean the silk safely and often brighten the zari. Tarnish that has changed the metal itself cannot be reversed, and we will say so up front.
- Will the colours run?
- We test dye stability before choosing a process precisely so that they do not. If a dye is unstable, we choose a dry method or ask you before proceeding.
